Robotics and automation technology has had an exponential growth in use in a large number of value adding processes. This is a continuing trend: Man and machine are working ever closer together, across all sectors. Proven IBO solutions ensure the special requirements of various load capacity, weight saving, environmental impacts and durability. We continually develop these individual solutions further with our customers. The customer requirement in the field of robotics consists of keeping a ready-to-fit assembly.
On the one hand this should be as easy to fit as possible and on the other the radial-axial loads and turning moments arising should be absorbed in a given construction space. Furthermore, the assembly must be suitable for being applied in as many varied environments as possible. This places special demands on the sealing, selection of lubricant and surface treatment. A ready-to-fit bearing system was built based on DRK®-series in the structure of a yoke type roller with a sealed tapered roller bearing system in O-configuration (back-to-back).
The selected surface treatment and the choice of lubricant are proven in varied applications in areas of automobile assembly like, e.g. bodywork, paintwork, casting und handling Areas.
