Axial tapered roller bearings enable extremely high axial load capacity, very rigid and non-impact-sensitive, compact bearings. Single or double direction axial tapered roller bearings are mainly fitted in roll stands. Axial tapered roller bearings with cages are not self-restraining. Their individual components can be fitted separately. Their dimensions are not standardised.
