Overview

Experience from the war in Ukraine has shown that artillery is an essential capability. We have worked on the development of the most modern artillery system, which is the first gun capable of firing on the move.

Development

Due to our long-standing customer relationship, we were asked to participate in this project right from the start. Our contribution to the development was to reduce the weight without compromising the performance characteristics. This was crucial to enable a shot on the move.

Result

Testing and use in the field have confirmed the predicted performance characteristics. As a result, this system is currently regarded as the leading system on the market.

The changed conditions in the area of operations require a so-called close and short-range protection system to defend against drones and protect troop movements. Such a system must combine high forces with maximum precision.

Aviation

Contemporary travel means experiencing internet reception at 16 km above sea level. This system requires extremely precise azimuth and elevation positioning. The special feature is the combination of installation space and weight restrictions with special environmental requirements during take-off, flight and landing.

This project is a flagship project for the OEM and represents a continuation of the Lynx project for the IBO. It is again an MSSA. The overall system is intended for the American market and therefore has a much larger project volume.

One component of the Main Sensory Slaved Armament (MSSA) is the stabilized electronic optical sensor system (SEOS). The associated bearings are characterized by high rigidity and accuracy between clockwise and counterclockwise rotation. Because at a firing range of several kilometers, every thousandth of a degree of deviation is crucial.
